Rod – I think this is what you’re looking for in a photo gallery. When you click on one – you go to a page with the photo and some text. I will improve the design – this is just to demonstrate the functionality.

With this option, you can email a url that links directly to one family like this:

Or we could have a simple photo gallery like this but it’s basically only photos. It can have short captions like the example under your name. But when you click on the image – all you get is the image in a lightbox.
